UAE Offers Visa-On-Arrival for Indians with US, UK, EU Visas

UAE Introduces Visa-On-Arrival for Indian Citizens Holding Valid US, UK, and EU Visas

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), home to the bustling business hub of Dubai, is witnessing an influx of new arrivals thanks to recent government initiatives aimed at easing entry restrictions. These changes are part of broader efforts to promote tourism and economic collaboration with key international regions.

Visa-On-Arrival for Indian Citizens

Indian citizens holding ordinary passports can now take advantage of visa-on-arrival options when entering the UAE, provided they meet specific eligibility criteria. This development, announced by the Indian Embassy in the UAE, simplifies the travel process for many Indian nationals who hold visas or residence permits from select countries.

Eligibility Criteria for Visa-On-Arrival

Indian citizens must fulfill the following conditions to qualify for visa-on-arrival at UAE ports of entry:

  • Possess a valid visa, residence permit, or green card issued by the United States.
  • Hold a valid visa or residence permit issued by the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK).
  • Ensure that their passport has a validity of at least six months.

Visa-On-Arrival Options for Indian Travelers

Upon arrival in the UAE, eligible Indian citizens can choose between two visa-on-arrival types:

  1. 14-Day Visa-On-Arrival: This visa allows for an initial stay of 14 days and can be extended for an additional 14 days, depending on the traveler’s needs.
  2. 60-Day Visa-On-Arrival: Available for a non-extendable 60-day stay, this option requires payment of the necessary fees in line with UAE regulations.

Boosting Tourism and Economic Ties

This initiative is expected to foster stronger tourism and business relations between India and the UAE. By streamlining the entry process for Indian travelers who hold valid visas or residence permits from the US, UK, and EU, the UAE aims to offer increased flexibility and convenience, particularly for frequent visitors.

As one of the most popular travel destinations for Indian nationals, the UAE’s visa-on-arrival scheme is set to enhance bilateral ties. The country’s key airline carriers, Emirates and Etihad, further strengthen its role as a major transit hub connecting India to the rest of the world. With these new travel privileges, the UAE is not only facilitating smoother entry but also encouraging more Indian travelers to consider stopovers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other emirates.
